🎤 Expat Interview

Welcome to our expat spotlight section.

This is where we interview both new and long-term expats in Buenos Aires and ask them to share their tips and recommendations.

Here’s the today’s interview:

What’s your name, country of origin, and how long have you been in Buenos Aires?

Sayonara Rell, Brazil, 3 months.

What brought you to Buenos Aires, and how was the initial adjustment process?

I came to Buenos Aires because I fell in love (such a good reason). Getting used to it was easy and nice. Living in such a lively city has been awesome.

What's been the most challenging aspect of living in Buenos Aires?

Definitely some cultural differences here! Coffee shops opening at 9 am? What?

And what has been the most rewarding aspect of living here?

Every day brings a diverse cultural mix, for sure. There's always something new, beautiful, and inspiring to encounter.

What's your favorite local restaurant, bar, or cafe, and why?

The breakfasts at Casa Dingo are my favorite so far. Since I'm still a newbie in this city, I'm keeping tabs on this newsletter to find out more good spots.

What hidden gem in Buenos Aires deserves more recognition?

Coffee at Hi Coffee is the best, especially when Franco's brewing it up.

What advice would you give to new expats in Buenos Aires?

Stay open to new surroundings and people, get out there more, explore the city, and fully embrace the local vibe.

Thanks Sayonara for agreeing to this interview!

đź’ˇ Did You Know?

Why so many?

It’s partly because of the country’s rollercoaster history which has really emphasized the importance of mental health.

In Buenos Aires, chatting about your therapy session is as common as talking about the weather!

It’s a city where digging deep into personal and collective issues is pretty much the norm.
